winter called … your red wine is waiting

there are two kinds of people in winter. those who brave the cold … and those who immediately light the fire, pull out the cheeseboard and pour a generous glass of red.

winter in the hunter valley is one of our favourite times of year. the mornings are crisp, the vines are tucked in for the season, the crowds slow down and suddenly every excuse to open a bottle feels completely justified.

first up, ‘juju’

don’t let the bright personality fool you. 

our ‘juju’ shiraz nouveau might be lighter than your traditional winter red, but that’s exactly what makes it so easy to love. It’s juicy, vibrant and ridiculously drinkable, the kinds of wine that somehow disappears faster than you’d planned.

if ‘juju’ is the life of the party, ‘b.p.d’ shiraz is the one that arrives in a nice coat, brings the good cheese and somehow always has excellent stories. 

this is everything you want from a hunter valley winter red. 

rich dark fruit. beautiful spice. silky tannins. enough depth to make you pause after the first sip and quietly think, ‘yep, that’s the one’. 

it’s made for long dinners, roast lamb, slow-cooked beef cheeks and those nights where the fire is still going well after dessert.
